HOTEL ROOM PROPOSAL
This is a exercise concept to design a hotel room unit. The hotel is located in Bucharest.
Requirements were to use a contemporary-modern design language with luxury inserts, expensive accents through materials and textures, lighting or ambient objects.
The Room is connected with the hallway through the floor by using a fine carpet with gray and black textures, having a darker border around the perimeter walls of the room in order to accentuate this unification. Furniture is custom, the hallway has a large wardrobe with doors covered in brown-gold mirror panels, the drawer chest consists of 3 drawers with brass inserts and on the left side a place for the armchair which is an accent piece, the bed backboard has 2 thin vertical brown-gold mirror panels and it is covered in a beige suede texture. The connection of these two open spaces is also made by the black glass line coming from the entrance door and follows the wall toward the bed backboard, having a frosted glass accent on the bathroom wall. In order to make a visual separation from hallway-entrance-bathroom the walls are split by their textures, the clean white painted walls are in the bedroom, the concrete like walls are in the hallway and around the walls which are encasing the bathroom. The TV wall has a vertical LED accent which looks futuristic and marks the space for the changing space between the drawer and the wardrobe. The curtain blue velvet material is balanced by the brass-gold accents of the furniture and bed backboard.
The Bathroom is a completely different space treated with contrasting tones, black and white glossy marble slabs, vertical brass accents in the joints between the large slabs, all these contrasts being calmed with a vertical green moss wall accent on the left side of the sink marble counter. The frosted glass accent towards the bedroom has 2 LEDs on the top and bottom creating a nice ambient during the night, along with the vertical LED on the TV backwall.
