The Flamaropol Ice-skating Rink is a to-be-built construction on the former site of the old "Mihai Flamaropol" Skating Rink, recently demolished for this purpose. The site is part of a larger sports complex area in Bucharest, which contains the National Arena Stadium (former Lia Manoliu Stadium), TBA Polyvalent Hall and other building that are next to be proposed.
Also, this building has two main wings, Skating Arena and Leisure Building, and it is a multi-purpose one: it holds a pool and spa level, an indoor basketball court, wall climbing, restaurants, served by a large entrance lobby. The rink ceiling is a green roof, which can be used as promenade, with access from ramps designed on each Northern and Southern sides, but also as a ski platform during winter season. Top level of leisure wing holds a skating area, an outdoor terrace, restaurant and bar.
